SALE OF AGE-RESTRICTED GOODS (18+)
Pursuant to Section 6 of Act No. 65/2017 Coll., on the Protection of Health from the Harmful Effects of Addictive Substances, tobacco products, smoking accessories, herbal products intended for smoking and electronic cigarettes may be sold via distance communication means provided that their sale to persons under the age of 18 is excluded. For this purpose, the seller must be equipped with a computer system that electronically and unambiguously verifies the consumer’s age.
The seller is obliged to verify at the moment of sale that the consumer is not under 18 years of age.

Why is age verification required?
E-shops are legally required to verify the customer’s age when selling selected goods.
Age verification is required for the sale of: alcohol, tobacco products, pipes, cigars, electronic cigarettes, nicotine products, vapes, cigarettes including nicotine-free products, herbal smoking products (CBD, HHC), smoking accessories (filters, rolling papers, grinders, etc.), as well as pyrotechnics, erotic products and other restricted goods.
Although age verification may seem unnecessary, it is an important measure to protect minors, who often attempt to purchase prohibited goods via e-shops.
How does age verification work?
Once your age has been verified, the result is stored anonymously using a unique HASH generated from your e-mail address and phone number used in the order.
For future purchases, you will not need to repeat full verification – instead, you will receive a verification code via SMS or e-mail, which you enter to complete verification and continue checkout.
By verifying your age, you also contribute to the prevention and treatment of addictions in minors. The Adulto service financially supports prevention and treatment programs for children.
The e-shop you are purchasing from complies with the law and protects minors from harmful substances.
How can I verify my age?

If you use online banking with a supported bank (Air Bank, Banka Creditas, Česká spořitelna, ČSOB, Fio banka, Komerční banka, MONETA Money Bank, Raiffeisenbank, UniCredit Bank), select Bank ID verification, log in to your bank and consent to sharing your date of birth with Adulto.
Adulto is an official and secure provider cooperating with banks.
MojeID verification
If you have a verified MojeID account with a valid citizen identity, select Verify via MojeID, log in and consent to sharing your date of birth.
You will then return to the checkout to complete your order.
Identity document verification
If you do not have access to online banking or MojeID, or you are a foreign national, you may verify your age using an EU-issued ID card or driving licence.
You may upload or photograph the document securely. Sensitive details (photo, signature, ID number) may be covered. The system processes verification within 5–10 seconds.
Data protection & security
Adulto only confirms whether you are over or under 18. No personal data except your date of birth is stored.
